Entries in mini calla (1)

Fred and Tia

I’m delighted to finish posting on this wedding. I just received new photos to share from Ross Oscar Knight Photography. I had such a fabulous crew and we had a great time staying at the Sandestin Beach Resort. This is the view from our three bedroom condo overlooking Choctawhatchee Bay.Carmen and I got a sneak peek at the bride when we delivered the bouquets to her suite before the ceremony (I love that part).

Tia wanted purple and lots of it. To achieve the Sunset color themed event I incorporated a new variety of South American mini calla called Hot Chocolate! Morkara, dendrobium and vanda orchids from Thailand all in shades of purple with accents of gold and orange mokara orchids and Cherry Brandy roses. The bouquets were embellished with rhinestone sprays to add just a little sparkle.

As you can see in the picture above the weather was not quite cooperating. To get ahead of Mother Nature, the decision was made to move the ceremony inside. It was originally planned for the Grand Lawn at Sandestin.

The ceremony arch was covered in white hydrangea, phalanopsis orchids and calla lilies.

Just before the bride arrived the aisle was blanketed with different shades of purple petals.

The canopy, suspended from the ceiling, was covered with aubergine silk, strands of crystals, garlands of mokara orchids  and the perfect shade of Thai vanda orchids.

The reception was an elegant event with the sunset color flowers, great lighting and details right down to the coasters by Bliss Event Group.  Gold trees strung with garlands of purple and orange mokara orchids and glowing candlelight were in the center of each guest table.  Floral accents lined the center of the tables.   The guests were treated to a variety of arrangements in gold mercury glass containers with matching candlesticks in gold and bronze to finish out the rich look, making each table unique. It was hard for me to pick only a couple of photos.
